Clear Skin Warts in Weeks by Applying Aldara Cream 

Aldara Cream is a topical medicine for treating skin warts, often occurring on the external genital area and around the anus due to human papillomavirus infection. Aldara is available in 250mg sachets and has an active substance called imiquimod to trigger healing.

Imiquimod acts on the immune system, causing it to release cytokines, including interferon, and initiate its effects. Cytokines are substances that help kill wart-causing viruses or abnormal skin cells that develop into skin cancer. Aldara Cream also helps treat other skin conditions, including the ones below.

• Solar or actinic keratoses
• Basal cell carcinoma

Directions of Use

A box of Aldara Cream contains 12 single-use packets. One sachet is enough to apply on a wart area covering 20 cm2. Ensure the hands and skin is clean before applying the cream in the following steps.

• Apply a thin layer on the affected area before bedtime and rub gently until it is invisible. The application site should not be blocked, wrapped, or bandaged. Remember to clean your hands after application.
• Leave the medicine on the treatment site for 6-10 hours without wetness.
• Remove the cream by carefully washing the area with water and mild soap.
• Uncircumcised men with genital warts under their foreskin should retract and clean it daily.

For efficiency, apply Aldara on alternate days thrice a week. For example, apply on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Apply until the skin warts clear entirely. The maximum application period is 16 weeks.
